The edges of the lamp encode the graph of the last 100 years of global temperature, revolved around the center to create the lampshade structure. Through this, I hope to explore the goals of data visualization and visual art jointly: to convey a meaningful message in a way people can see.

What happens when data informs art? Is it still a data visualization, even if it does not follow the traditional principles of visual data as in a graph or bar chart? Is it still a work of art, even if is computer generated from numerical data?
